THE NECESSITY OF IMPLEMENTING ERGONOMICS CONSIDERATIONS FOR THE ELDERLY IN HOSPITALS

Ergonomics in brief, the science of adapting work to the workforce, is defined with the goal of maximizing productivity, security, comfort, and satisfaction. Certainly, work is carried out in other places and by people other than workers, so the fitting of a place like the hospital and for people like the elderly who face a variety of disabilities and limitations, is obvious and necessary.
Considering the growing population of the elderly, in our country and, on the other hand, the high rate of referral of this age group to hospitals and medical centers, this article aimed to introduce some ergonomic considerations to reduce their problems. Certainly, the implementation of ergonomic recommendations, for the elderly in hospitals and other health centers, will be able to enhance their safety, comfort, independence, satisfaction and comfort.
